A fantasy tale with a timely nod to events happening in the world today.
Tightly written, the whole tale is told in about an hour and yet I didn't feel short-changed. The characters were well rounded, the world-building excellent, and justice is swift and not necessarily black and white. Morally dubious decisions are made with the best of intentions and we have yet to reap the consequences of these actions. The 'to be continued' on the last page implied we'll be seeing more of these two and I can only wait patiently* and hope.
*definition of patience: jumping up and down and shouting 'is it ready yet?'.
