When I first took this book off the shelf, my expectations were low. It looked cheesy, and I really just needed another book to read. However, "Four Seasons Makes a Year" presents a very natural progression of the seasons and breaks down they typical segmented approach to teaching the seasons. It explains the seasons more like a story, and the part I liked the most was that the imagery didn't go from snowflakes to daisies to sun to brown leaves. It discussed gardening and the progression of the changing leaf colors and the things that are characteristic of the transitions of the seasons. I think it does a really good job at capturing some unspoken characteristics of the seasons, and it would be a great read-aloud to do when teaching about the seasons. ( )

This is a nonfiction book explaining the 4 seasons in a year. This is a great book to introduce nonfiction books on a lesson about the seasons and weather within those seasons. ( )

A quick trip thru the year taking a glance at the four seasons.

This book is very informative in teaching children about the four seasons. The illustrations in the book relate to the season which it is talking about. This allows the children to relate the season to that colour and create a piece of art work on that season. ( )

In this book they show each season and how great they can be each be and they all have something special and their own color.
