I can't even say that I liked one more than the other. Blue is so sweet and funny. No wonder a "kinda straight" guy fell head over heels for him. Tristan is equally as wonderful. He didn't have a lot of filters and just went with spewing out all his feelings. He "liked" Blue so he did everything he could to get him to "like" him too. There was nothing too heavy about the storyline but plenty to keep you reading to see what these two or one of the crazy family members was going to do next. So much humor packed into what could have been a frustrating, hair-pulling situation. The cast of characters is filled with crazy ex's...homophobic family members, which I usually don't find funny and hard to tolerate... hilarious siblings...crazy and impulsive soul searing love...and hot bedroom antics. Blue's family is equally entertaining. I simply loved them all. I have to give a special mention to Granny, Aunt Tilly, and Irene. Those girls are something else and added so much more humor to the story. Reminded me of some of my relatives...especially Granny:) There's a lot of great stuff in this story. I enjoyed all the characters, so I suspect I'm going to enjoy this whole series. The author skated over, around and through all the potential trope pitfalls with grace and humor. In all sincerity, if you can make me laugh, you've won me. :) Four stars, very good, very entertaining. I was pretty sure WHAT was going to happen but Lennox kept me reading to find out HOW it would happen. Kudos! For me, repeated phrases and some wordiness and repetition detracted from the story, and I hope Lenox improved her craft through this series. (I'm sure I'm not the only reader for whom "made their way" rather than "walked" looks silly. It's not a jungle.) I loved the progression this smart-ass pair went through. It's very organic and sweet. But, and this is common in erotic romance, sadly; we really don't need each step of boy on boy sex every time. Either change it up or coast past it on feelings or dialogue, we can fill in what's happening. I didn't dare skim because I love their joking, but I was tempted a couple times. But don't let that deter you! I also read this in two days. I need to know how they solved things! ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu

Blue: When my ex walks into the resort bar with his new husband on his arm, I want nothing more than to prove to him that I've moved on. Thankfully, the sexy stranger sitting next to me is more than willing to share a few kisses in the name of revenge. It gets even better when those scorching kisses turn into a night of fiery passion. The only problem? Turns out the stranger's brother is marrying my sister later this week. Tristan: I have one rule: no messing with the guests at my vineyard resort. Of course, the one exception I make turns out to be the brother of the woman my brother's about to marry. Now we're stuck together for a week of wedding activities, and there's no avoiding the heat burning between us. So fine, we make a deal: one week. One week to enjoy each other's bodies and get it out of our system. Once the bride and groom say I do and we become family, it'll all be over between us. Right? Fair warning: Blue and Tristan's story contains smoking hot scenes of man parts touching, pee-in-pants descriptions of grannies cursing, and the sweet improbability of two strangers finding their happily ever after when they least expect it. Borrowing Blue is the first in the new Made Marian series. Each book tells the story of one of the Marian brothers' search for true love and can be listened to as standalone or as part of the series. One of the Marian brothers, Blue, the graphic design director at a magazine publisher, meets a man in a bar, and the chemistry alights them both. Turns out the mystery man is the brother of John who is about to marry the only Marian daughter.
Tristan reminds me very much of Teddy, and Blue of Jamie - harking back to Taming Teddy. The two books were a little too similar to me, but without the allure of all things wildlife in Taming Teddy.
The similarities were both a letdown, and fabulous - fabulous because Teddy and Jamie sparkled from beginning to end and so do Blue and Tristan. The rest, the padding of the wedding, and the strife with brother John, etc, was quite blah. ( )
