I hadn't really ever thought about the original Teen Titans and what happened to them during New 52. Part of that I think was because they were already sorta broken up and grown up and away from the Teen part of the Teen Titans by the time New 52 came around. And the other part of it was maybe on purpose by DC too? But, in this TPB they slowly come back together. Sort of remembering each other as they go. Then they get thrown into a big bad fight with a guy called Mr. Twister. This guy is using one of the Teen Titans (okay, I'll admit it, a guy I don't really remember), Herald, for really, really not good things. We got to see and get reacquainted with so many. Caveboy, Bumblebee, Donna Troy (yay), the real Dick Grayson (sorry, I'm not the craziest about the Spyral story line), Garth, Lilith, and Roy (oh Roy, my heart goes out to Roy, DC has done some things to Roy over the years). Seeing all of them, and all of them in the same place was wicked cool. It was a fun book to read, and I really, really liked the art too in addition to the writing. Onto and forward to Rebirth after all this hullaballoo. I was given this galley through Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment. näyttää 2/2 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu

This was a lot of fun! I haven't read the Teen Titans in years, well, decades really. I still have some very early issues from the late 60s and early 70s, but nothing real recent. I know the characters, though, and it was fun being a part of them coming together again, for the first time.
I especially liked the idea that while they are/were the TEEN Titans, they've all grown up and have become different than before. Great concept put to good use in this book.
I also liked the story of Robin's first "outing" with the Justice League, and even the lead-in for the Titans Rebirth (though that was clearly the weakest of this book).
I'm not sure where DC Comics is planning on taking the Teen Titans, but this volume is definitely worth the time to read. ( )
