I loved this book! But boy do i need book 3 like now. I really loved all these characters so much. Some parts of this mystery did confused me but this book as a arc so i am issues were do do top issues. I will def re listen before book 3. So good ( )

I liked this book, but I didn't love it as much as the first book in the series. It still had the surprise you would expect at the end of the book, the writing is good, the characters are relatable, but I just liked the first book better. I would still recommend this book though and the series, it's very intriguing and a different spin on Holmes and Watson that I adore. 4 out of 5 stars. ( )

I wasn't as satisfied with this book as I had hoped that I would be.

The plot in this addition seemed rather unbelievable in certain moments, but especially the last 100 pages.

This book had the same humor that had me literally laughing out loud at moments as the last one. It also featured the same characters that I have grown to love, but I also grew to hate Charlotte a little bit. I understand that she has been through a great trauma, but she is a horrible person. She treats people terribly, and yes her parents sucked at raising her, but it seems like she wants to be awful.

Also, this book tried to make Jamie sound like in his past, he was a player. That just doesn't seem like him. Either I missed something in the first book or that was just written to conveniently fit with the plot, but his personalty doesn't match up in my opinion.

Overall I really enjoyed the twists and learning more about the way Charlotte had been raised. It was cool seeing the inside of her house, but the first book was better. ( )
