This is definitely not the nice G.I. Joe many of us watched on TV growing up, and that is a good thing. This is a whole new adventure for the team, a team that is much leaner and meaner. There is a bit of a darker tone as well, but again, that is just something I personally like.

Years have passed, and the team had been disbanded. When a new terror threat happens, and an initially unknown enemy attacks the U.S. by dropping satellites on major cities, the President reactivates the G.I. Joe team. Now it is up to them to stop this threat. Is Cobra really behind it? If not, then who could it be? And as they rush to prevent further attacks, team members have to deal with their own inner demons as well.

Overall, this is a very good story and start to a new series (well, new to me at this time). Once you pick it up, you just want to keep on reading. The art is pretty good as well. I will be picking up the next volume. I really liked this one. ( )
