This is the third book in the series. I have not read the others, but, nevertheless, found this can be read as a stand-alone book. Kerry is the only sister not married. Kerry is filled with wanderlust and has traveled the world. However, she returned home to Blueberry Cove for a wedding last year, and stayed on because her beloved Uncle Gus had a stroke, and Kerry was more than willing to care for him and help out in in pub. One night, an old friend from Australia, who she knows from the last place she had stopped and worked about a year ago, Cooper, arrives at the pub, announcing that he has come to propose to Kerry and take her back home to Australia. Naturally, Kerry is dumbfounded at this, since she never even knew Cooper felt this way about her. Immediately, the small town of Blueberry Cove is abuzz with talk of her marriage to Cooper and her leaving, giving up the wanderlust she has, for a stable life with Cooper at his family’s cattle ranch in Australia. Kerry and Cooper agree to his staying one month to talk things over, get to know one another in this new way, and figure out if they have a future together. This is the story of the month they send together. From the start, the chemistry between Kerry and Cooper was strong and showed itself every time they got together or one of them was mentioned. However, remember, Kerry is person who likes to wander the world, searching for whatever it is she fancies. Can she give that life up? Is Cooper the one for her? Will she marry him and settle down like the rest of her family? It was interesting to watch the slow two-step they each did during this month, knowing full well the end result from the beginning. In fact, I knew the ending before I even began. The book was an interesting read, but one filled with a lot of introspection and thought on the part of the characters. This helped to understand where they were coming from and how they reacted. However it did make the book drag a bit, as I got tired of the musings, thoughts and even memories put forth. This was the one drawback I had with the book. Without so much of this, the book could have been a bit shorter and may have read faster for me. However, I enjoyed it anyway, and think anyone who enjoys a good romance, has enjoyed any of the other books in the series or any book by this author will also enjoy this read. What a fun read! I did not want to put this book down – but had to – there were other things I had promised to do. Australia has always fascinated me and having a book with a man from “Down Under” who is as warm, witty and charming as Cooper Jax show up in Blueberry Cover to woo Kerry McCrae proved the perfect read for me. The witty dialogue and fun times spent together, the honesty and clarity of conversation when discussing big issues and the willingness to see whether or not a long term relationship might be in their future all made this special and fun and hard to put down. The town was behind the romance, the family on both sides of the world could see Jax and Kerry should be together BUT Kerry was a wanderer and free spirit unsure she could ever settle in one place. There was no major fight to separate the two but what did happen to put things in perspective for both of them was big and the right sort of thing to have happen, in my opinion. This book made me smile and laugh and hope for the best for both Jax and Kerry – Great book!. Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books-Zebra for the copy of this ARC to read and review! näyttää 3/3 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu

Kerry is a feisty heroine who can hold her own in a pub or on a boat or working as a jillaroo on a huge ranch. This novel was character driven. The family did not play much of a role in this story, it was carried by Kerry and Jax. I will say that their banter and joking, a trademark in this series, was cute. Will Kerry realize that it is time to give up the travel and settle down with a man she loves? Will Jax be able to convince her that they can make a life together? I will say that this was the least enjoyable of the three books in the series. Because these two characters both realized that they loved the other, it was just a matter of convincing Kerry this was the right way to go. Of course they both had fun while Jax was doing the convincing. Jax was a man who has been far too patient, but was going to do his best to ingratiate himself into the town and Kerry's family. He was giving it one month to see if he could convince Kerry to accept his proposal.
There is no problem reading this as a stand-alone story, but I did read them all, although out of order. I want to go back and read the Bachelors of Blueberry Cove as well to get the full story of this town and their residents. A nice summer or beach read. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley. ( )
