Sesto libro della serie Neighbors Series.
Anche questa svolta il giudizio è diviso in tre per il pessimo servizio reso all’autrice dalla Newton.

Un’altra storia in perfetto stile Bradford e tanto divertimento assicurato.
Stavolta però non ci troviamo davanti a due vicini di casa nemici giurati ma a due “amici giurati” sin dall’infanzia, uniti più che mai nel mettersi alla prova l’un l’altro con le doppie sfide. Darrin sa da sempre che Marybeth è l’unica donna perfetta per lui e che non vorrà mai accanto nessun’altra se non lei. Marybeth invece nasconde un segreto che non le permette di cedere al volere di Darrin. Due personaggi forti e testardi, sempre pronti a sfidarsi ma pieni d’amore l’uno per l’altro.
L’ennesima prova più che positiva per questa autrice che riesce a divertire sempre con le sue storie.

** 2 stelle alla traduzione e all’editing
Non so più che altro dire ma anche stavolta traduzione ed editing fanno acqua da tutte le parti. Leggere più volte una frase per cercare di capire cosa dice e cosa c’entri col resto del testo a volte è un’impresa. Incompetenza o sciatteria non so quale sia la causa, di certo il libro non merita questo trattamento.

Inqualificabile è l’unico aggettivo con cui posso definire con decenza la Newton Compton.

Media 2,6666 e quindi 3 stelle per non penalizzare troppo l’autrice che non merita di certo questo trattamento. ( )

I think this book would have been better as a novella. 300 pages of double daring, arguing, I hate yous and "secrets" was a bit much and the premise wore thin quickly. Disappointing for a series that I enjoyed up until now. I also didn't care for the insistence on characters being gay as a plot point/this is supposed to be funny. The book was written in 2015, I think we're past this as a humor tactic to be honest. ( )

I love R.L. Mathewson. Her characters and story lines are just hilarious. I love the Bradfords and look forward to many more high jinx and dares.

This book did not dissapoint. It was funny and the characters were endearing. The only thing is that Marybeth was like a dog with a bone on certain issues. ( )

Loved, loved, loved the first few NFH books (especially Perfection) so I was quick to buy this new one the day it was released. I still haven't finished it. After browsing reviews I see it's not just me. Taking a break - probably a looooonnnnngggg break.
