I found this book to be very interesting and learned a lot about lightning. The book was also a good mystery with a little romance put in. The characters were likable and pretty true to life.

The story starts with Alicia photographing lightning when she saw a man attack a women. When she went to help, all she found was a dog tag of a missing women of two months.This starts her search of the missing women which also leads her to Michael who has also been looking for the missing women. He’s convinced that Lilliana, the missing women, is still alive. Alicia and Michael work together to find this women and end up uncovering secrets and fall in love. I was a little disappointed with the sex scenes in the book. Didn’t seem to be a part that has so much spaced in the book. This is a great start to the series. ( )

this book was ok - mystery about what occurred during a lightening storm. The main character was a little lame but overall it was pretty good. Not sure good enough to read more of the series though. ( )

If you are expecting a book similar to the Callaway series, open your mind. Don't get me wrong. I loved this book but it is not a typical boy meets girl & lives happily ever after. If you want another Callaway romance, you will be disappointed.

Alicia is a photojournalist focusing on weather, specifically lightening. Her father and his plane disappeared during an electrical storm and he hasn't been seen since. Alicia feels that by focusing on lightening she is keeping this connection open with her dad. Alicia is out taking photos of an electrical storm. A strike happens close to her causing a limb to fall. This distracts Alicia from the man and woman she had seen struggling and they disappear. When she searches for them, she finds dog tags belonging to a missing woman. She turns the tags into the police to investigate but just can't leave it alone. When she goes back to the scene the next morning, she meets Michael, the best friend and person of interest in the case. The two join forces to investigate the missing woman

Barbara has a talent for writing about complex characters that are well thought out and interesting. The mood of the writing was different than what I expected but I liked it. The suspense was interesting and the plot line kept me drawn in and engaged. I can't wait for Book 2 of this 3 part series. ( )
