Stephanie Shaw tells a story about how beavers ended up with the flat tails they have today. The main character is a beaver who can be described as pretty conceited. He is obsessed with his beautiful tail and spends his time bragging about it and grooming it rather than taking care of more important responsibilities. His conceit ends up pushing away all of his friends. Everything changes when an accident occurs and changes what he is most proud of, his tail. The beaver eventually learns to accept the changes and understand that there are more important things than his tail. Overall, this was a good read. ( ) ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu

"Vain Beaver is inordinately proud of his silky tail, to the point where he alienates his fellow woodland creatures with his boasting. When it is flattened in an accident (of his own making), he learns to value its new shape and seeks to make amends with his friends. Based on an Ojibwe legend"--Provided by publisher.
