Great writing! A quick read but not short on suspense and character development. The plot unfolds in a well-paced excursion and the unhealthy psyche of Brian, the protagonist, is revealed as his survival is challenged. Total surprise and twisted ending! Try to read the story without reading spoilers for best effect.

This is a great horror short story that will keep you engrossed and send shivers up your spine, until the end. It may change your camping habits, as well.

Gunnison National Park, Colorado

Brian Garrett is twelve-years-old and is on a weekend camping trip at Gunnison National Park with his aloof parents where hopefully he will get the chance to bond with them. When his father suffers a horrible accident while they are hiking everything quickly spirals out of control. During the next twenty-four hours Brian finds a dark side to his father that proves terrifying and an even darker side in himself.

This is a story that will have readers wondering just what could possibly happen next. This story keeps the action coming fast and furious at the reader as they turn every page. Just as the reader thinks they have it figured out something else is thrown into the mix that will have them second guessing themselves. While it is a short story with all that is packed into it the story doesn’t read that way. For readers that enjoy horror stories this is definitely a book to check out and an author to read.
