A short collection of Goethe`s aphorisms and maxims. Unfortunately they haven`t aged well, today most of them feel dated, clichéd or even sexist. (

Quotable, certainly, but it felt stifled. It sounded like his entire intent when writing this collection of short comments was to sound clever and important, and not to wrote things that in themselves were clever and important... But maybe that's just me. (
