The main point of this text is to show children that your mother will always think you are precious and beautiful. What I did not like about the text is that when the hippo went to other mothers in the community they said they could not tell her she was beautiful. I think the meaning of the book would be better expressed if every mother she went to told her she was beautiful. ( )
