Lola learns how to grow the plants that she has picked out at home with her mom. ( )

The book tells a story about a young girl named Lola who decides to plant a garden with her family. They go to the store and purchase the seeds. Then the plant the seeds in a garden in their backyard. In the end of the book Lola invites over all of her friends and they all play in her garden as she shows them what she made. The story is very cute and it gives a realistic version of how a student of Lola's age would care for plants with her family. Overall I would read the book if and when we were doing a unit on seeds to show how families can take care of plants on their own. ( )
