This guide is intended for the self-publishing, part-time writer who has no time for BS and needs to make every minute count. There are a million guides out there telling you to do this or do that. But what's really worth the effort? Or you're bombarded with vague generalities, like "get on Facebook and promote your book." In comparison, here I'll show you where to post, what to post, how to efficiently follow up and how to build relationships with site managers. All with sample posts/messages that have generated sales.… (lisätietoja)

I have a serious problems with ebook marketing books: I can't resist reading them, but I'm usually disappointed after reading them.

Quit Wasting Time and Sell More Ebooks was a great exception. The book covers just about everything I wanted to know about ebook marketing, and it does so without adding too much fluff. Each chapter has enough information that can be applied, not like many other manuals that talk about generalities.

Great book. ( )

The eBook market seems to be flooded with how to guides on self publishing and still more promising fool proof methods to turn the ensuing product into a sales success. Most of them are a variation on the same theme - aggressively promote yourself on social media.

I was, therefore, pleasantly surprised by this book. Yes, Peters does cover the question of social media but it is restricted to a single chapter and the advice offered is far from a carbon copy of all the others. Indeed, in some cases his advice seems to be in direct opposition to some of the self-publishers usual social media checklist. What’s more it makes sense.

The same can be said for all the other chapters, and there are many that cover areas that I have never before seen in this type of book, from how to choose effective keywords on Amazon (and why they matter) to recording and monitoring data to ascertain effective marketing techniques. There is also a very detailed section on how to go about getting reviews.

However, I do have one gripe. At times, the author makes assumptions about the reader’s level of technical knowledge, leading to insufficient explanation. In particular, I felt this was the case when he discussed affiliate code and tracking links, which are never really fully explained. Yes, he underlines the importance of tracking links and even why but never really gives and indication of what that involves or how it works.

Nevertheless, as ebook marketing guides go, this one does stand out from the crowd.

I received an Early Reviewer copy of this book via Library Thing in exchange for my honest review. I do not know, nor do I have any connection with the author or the publisher and I have not been offered any reward (monetary or otherwise) in exchange for a positive review. ( )

A must read for writers!

If you are a writer today, struggling to find success, you must be aware of the paradigm shift that's occurred in the world of publishing. This new reality consists of virtual book tours, giveaways, mastering KDP, review swaps, writers blogs, leveraging social media, tags, keywords, long tail marketing - and dozens of new author specific websites critical to your success.

And don't forget, you still you need to find time to write - because the secret of self-publishing is to write more, publish more, market more, blog more and connect more.

Need a guidebook that takes you step by step through the process?

Read "Quit Wasting Your Time and Sell More eBooks" by Richard Peters.

I read through the 122 pages three times in the first two days. This is advice from a successful writer who takes you right inside the machine, shows you all the parts, and gives you the tools you need to tune up your marketing engine.

Caution! This is not a book about how to write better, or what genre to write in or how to format your epub file. This is a guide for authors who already have a book, but aren't sure of the next steps.

If you are craving real nuts and bolts answers to how to grow your business - you will devour this book in one sitting. ( )

Excellent how-to-market e-book. Link to link, page by page, one step leads to another makes for successful path through authoring. Coupled with the book I reviewed by Karen Banes, the information comes easier to use and retain. I would recommend this, as it leaves little unanswered, educating the reader, and building a solid writing foundation. Using Amazon.com as primary market place and a common meeting ground. Thank you. The ebook had wonderful information in helping to get the word out there with ebooks. More and more Authors (unknown and known the same) are going more to the self-publish route, and this helps the "newbies" so much.

Thank you for this ebook. I will be sure to use it as a reference. ( )
