Intense story ( )

This book should have been the first one in the series since Clair Parks is the first of the three friends to find a husband. Clair and Tyler "Bud" Morrison meet and find they have great sex and just plain enjoy each others company. They start this several weeks before John and Suzanne meet. So all three books are an ongoing story about the same period of time. So yes they should be read in order.

I really liked Clair's overall attitude. For the most part she is tough and intelligent and looking to start a real life after a every long sickness. I do think that she was a tad bit unreasonable when Bud and John found out that the girls were in trouble. I don't care how well you think you can take care of yourself if you are facing a criminal with unlimited resources then that criminal will find you, unless you are trained to by the military or an intelligence group.

Bud is all dominant alpha male. He is also highly sexed and very, very protective. He is also from the wrong side of the tracks. I admired that he was willing to fight for Clair when he talked to her father. Bud is a hero just like John is. They make a good pair.

I don't think that I ever read this story and I am sorry that it took this long to get to it. If you like the ex-military type heroes then you are going to like this story. Ms. Rice writes very realistic characters with all the flaws we all struggle with. She also writes some of the best and hottest sex scenes in the industry. ( )

Not that erotic, or suspenseful. Some romance ( )

If I could choose only one word to sum up this series, that word would be wowzers. I’ve read page-turners before, but this one has me playing hooky in order to get more read. This is erotica fiction at its best!

MIDNIGHT RUN is the second book in the Midnight Series. Although I haven’t read the last book yet, I couldn’t help but notice a theme. The heroine is tiny, petite and somewhat fragile. The hero is huge and of course stunningly handsome in a manly man sort of way and gobs of muscles.

I loved her first book best and rated it five stars and listed it the best book I read that month. I had some believability issues with this one. The conversation between Claire’s father and Bud seemed a bit off. There was another spot towards the end as well. Even so, the book was well worth the price of admission.
