Series of broadsides created by Nancy Bobo of Tucson, Arizona under the name of her imprint "luncheonette press". She created the series for an installation at the University of Arizona in conjunction with a printing class she was taking. The theme of the exhibition was "The Decline of Family Dinner". The broadsides measure 13" x 19", and were printed on BFK Reeves paper in four different ink and paper combinations. Bobo used a combination of wood type for the letters and screen printing for the quotation marks and signature of M.F.K. Fisher. They feature a quote from the first paragraph of Fisher's essay "A is for Dining Alone" from her 1949 book An Alphabet for Gourmets which reads "... sharing food with another human being is an intimate act that should not be indulged in lightly." The paper and ink combinations that Bobo experimented with include white paper with black lettering; khaki paper with black lettering; white paper with silver lettering; and black paper with silver lettering. ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
