This book was much too sickeningly, uselessly violent, and the ending made me furious. I kept thinking to myself, "There is no way people would react that horrifyingly. That's way over the top." There were several parts I had to skip because it was so disturbing. ( )

A Ghost/Horror story. Which I seldom read, so the fact that I stuck with it to finish it surprised me. There is some blood & gore, in case that influences your decision to read or not.

Reading this book was like watching a horror version of the movie "Groundhog's Day". There was no plot that took you from point A to point B, instead it was round and round you go like being on a merry-go-round and just like that merry-go-round the book never went anywhere.
Good thing about the book is that there were very few grammatical errors. ( )

I'm not an author, and don't have the talent to be one. But, I have read some very fine books over the years and, without hesitation, I tell you that this one will never be mistaken for a fine book. Without trying to be intentionally cruel, or hyper critical, I thought this book was amateurish, and just poorly written. It was downright childish and predictable as if written to hold the attentions of a preteen. Gillian Flynn and Stephen King can sleep soundly tonight. They have nothing to worry about from 314.

The book gives no explanation as to why these events are happening, nor is there an ending to the book. If there was an explanation I missed it, or just skipped over it. I wanted to finish this book as quickly as I could and move on to something else. There was no way I was going to reread any chapter, page or paragraph.

The book is written as the first installment of a trilogy. So, unless you're prepared to purchase Books 2 and 3 of a series that isn't that good to begin with, this book will leave you hanging and completely unfulfilled. Rather than Book 1, it's more like reading the first 10 chapters of a much longer book.

I gave it two stars because I liked the book cover and I didn't find any spelling errors. ( )

It was a very interesting book to read. I wasn't sure at first but it kinda grew on me. I enjoyed reading as soon as I found some time to do so.
