Pandemic read. Recommended by my favorite almost 5 year old, who loved the movie and named her stuffed plus squirrel Ulysses. Snarky, creative, fun story. Great illustrations ( )

2014 award winner. This novel will have you laughing and giggling the whole time while reading it. For sure will put you in a good mood. The author put full-page pictures in the book to go along with what is happening to make sure the reader has a good picture in their mind of what is happening. Such a cute book. ( )

This book had a lot of cool parts that just added up to nothing for me. Its an award winner so anyone should try it for themself, but for me this was a chore to read. Graphic panels crop up often to add interest for some readers. ( )

This was fun. I liked that it brought the extraordinary into the ordinary, and I'm sure it would make a lot of kids look at their daily lives through the lens that Flora uses. I did think it dragged on a little too long, but all in all, it's a good story. I listened to the audio, but I do have a physical copy. In the audio, I like the extra sound effects, and in the print book, I like the added illustrations. Both add to the story in different ways. ( )

I didn't think it was on par with her other books were more appealing to adults and kids alike. However, its a good read for 3rd, 4th and maybe 5th graders. Adam enjoyed the super hero squirrel storyline and the mix of text and graphics. ( )
