Nice course book that covers the basics of animation for the complete novice. With lots of diagrams and colour illustrations. the chapter 'The Animator's Toolkit' takes you through animation paper and cells, peg bars and different sophistications of light box. At the end of most chapters you are set an assignment.

To my wife and children -Tricua, Sarah, and Anne - who, sadly, have had to endure many frustrating and neglected hours, seeing only the back of my head, as I have struggled over my unaffectionate and unresponsive lightbox.
