This installment picked up right where the first book left off with Sam tryng to track down Hartman's daughter. With the aid of Hartman's ex lover, the demon Danjal, Sam finds a few possible locations where the human/siren gang may be holding te children. The investigation is hampered by the discovery of a lost naiad, Springlily who takes up residence in the bathtub in one of Sam's apartments. Sam's powers are growing due to his familiar and to Sam finally mating with Bob. Their happiness may be short lived when the siren Queen calls for Sam's death.
I enjoyed this story and think that Sam and Bob are terrific. Hartman and Dan were a very interesting addition to the story also. The story flow was a little choppy in places which made it less enjoyable to read. One example was the introduction of Bob's ex boyfriend Josh. He added nothing to the story whatsoever except for word count. I also got confused when the different families came to collect their children. The treaty bracelet was a nice touch and I imagine that it will come into play in Sam's battle against the sirens which has to be coming in my opinion. . While I found the story a fun read, I couldn't help but wish it was longer so that it did not feel so rushed. The HEA ending was there and there was no cliff hanger like there was in the previous book. If you enjoyed The Case of the Cupid Curse, you are guaranteed to enjoy this adventure. ( )

Like the previous one, I wish this one was longer... I'm glad to be getting more about Sam and Bob though. Keep them coming please! ( )
