I can see why people like this sort of thing. Reads very fast, regardless of how actually interesting it is. Like watching a prime time cop drama. Just picture some of your favorite actors as the characters and you can be reasonably entertained. ( )
King and Maxwell is an excellent story. The characters all have super powers both good guys and bad guys. To say anything more in this review about the threat on the president's life, the CIA, Secret Service, U.S. military, Afghanistan, Iran, India, a billion dollars would just spoil the plot of the story, The new reader will just have to read and find out why it was awarded five stars in this review. Really not much to say about this book. In my unqualified opinion, this one just didn't seem to be the same level as previous books in the series. It seemed like it was just a formula story written by someone else. Perhaps Mr Baldacci is getting tired of the series, or maybe it's just me, but this is probably the last one I'll read; maybe it's even the last one he'll write, as I don't believe there are more right now. ( )
