This books discusses who Jane Goodall was, her strength and courage as a young lady to go and study chimpanzees and how she came to be trusted by these animals. She grew to love them and they became part of her life and her family. Jane Goodall's story is about hope, inspiration, patience, and determination. This book can easily be paired with a biography unit, it can become a unit itself, as there are movies, youtube videos, and many other stories about Jane Goodall. Students will appreciate Jane and her work with these fabulous animals. I always tell my students that she had the coolest job and they are instantly intrigued to hear more. Read this book to your students and grow to love the lady that has become an inspiration to us all.
