The novel was very moving, emotional, and touching. To me it was about human relationships and families and how the choices made effect others. There were a lot of story lines that could be argued to detract from the main theme, especially the whole part based in Greece. Loved this book - I think it was his best so far. However the ending was disappointingly perfect. Absolutely amazing book. In fact, I could fairly see this as a small collection of books, since every chapter tells another brilliant story about family, love and life. Every story is set in a different place, told in a different time, has new protagonists, adds a new perspective. I felt myself wishing halfway through this would never end. It so beautifully illustrates that everybody walking this planet has a full life with an exciting story behind it. I am really impressed by [a:Hosseini|7339074|Hosseini, Khaled|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png]'s empathic capability and how he masterfully puts it into words. I love how there is no sentence too much in this book. Full five stars to this magnificent feat. I was washed with emotions many times and feel like I intimately know some of the characters. Amazing. I really like the book but I haven't read his other two so I can't compare to his other books. I'm left hanging wondering what happen to a handful of characters. There were so many characters, too many? What happen to them... The Greeks? The poor boy in New Shadbagh and his dad? The commander and his son? The cousins after Kabul? Some how I wonder what happen to them more than Pari x 2. Kuuluu näihin kustantajien sarjoihinEl balancí (699)
Presents a story inspired by human love, how people take care of one another, and how choices resonate through subsequent generations. Afghanistan, 1952.
