Blue Moose is the most wonderful book ever written by man or moose about two odd people, one of who is a moose, finding true companionship. This worthy sequel is about becoming a writer. ( ) The blue moose of the eponymous book returns. (I hope I used "eponymous" correctly; or should I say, eponymoose. (Sorry.)) In other words, this is a sequel to Blue Moose. Having discovered a typewriter in the basement of Mr. Breton's restaurant, the moose decides to write his life story. The difficulties of writing one's magnum opus, worrying about the reaction of friends to the work, waiting anxiously for a response from a publisher and dealing with the "minor" changes made---lots of wish fulfillment by Mr. Pinkwater here---and handling fame are all included in the book, along with the moose's memoir, in which he explains the many ways in which he saved the world. His name, D. Moosus Moosewater is remarkably similar to D. Manus Pinkwater, a name that Daniel M. Pinkwater uses for some of his books. The illustrations are, of course, delightful, as is the writing, in its straightforward way of dealing with absurd premises. Finally, it's a sweet story about friendship. näyttää 2/2 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
