Significantly explicit, but not in a way that detracts from the story, which rocks - and the art is most excellent. ( )

I'm not sure that I'm totally buying into this story, even though I read it in one sitting. The artwork and writing style are very accessible, but I'm not really into the whole interstellar speciest war plotline. The protagonists are all quite interesting though, even if they are all stereotypes. The star-crossed lovers - hello, it's been done to death. Literally. I'm more into the storyline with the Freelancer (assassin), but I've seen his character before. He's lamost an exact dupe for Durzo in the Night Angel trilogy (minus the resurrection thing, I assume). I'll keep reading though, because it's at least an enjoyable series. ( )

Nothing short of brilliant. Vaughn and Staples conjure up an adventure that fires on all cylinders. There's not a high enough recommendation that I can make. ( )

Well I saw that this was free with kindle unlimited or whatever it's called. I had heard a lot of good things about it so I was like hey, I also want to love these so let's give it a shot. This was pretty good. Very quick read. Now I'll read the second one and if I like it, I guess I've got to start spending some money to read it all. ( )

This graphic novel series is stunning, dirty, and down to Earth (or Wreath or Landfall or whichever part of the universe you want to side on). You love every character which guarantees for heartbreak at some point, but that's what makes a good story. Stunning artwork, relateable characters, and just so many surprises each page you turn. I can't stop!!!
