I liked this one even more than I thought I might. I'm just sorry that I waited so long to read it. This storyline is suspenseful, passionate, mysterious, and the intimate scenes are scorching HOT!

I found the authors writing style to be easy to follow and distinctive to each character. I was pulled in right from the first paragraph and flew through to the last page within hours.I liked both of the main characters very much and the supporting characters were weaved into the story very well.

This installment leaves us with a whopper of a cliffhanger and I can't wait for the continuation.
I will definitely recommend this to any reader looking for a detailed, intriguing, and multifaceted story line.

2.5 - 3? i won't deny that i breezed through this, but there are definitely quite a few things that are annoying about it.


the mystery:
this is the only thing that stops this book from being pretty bad. but it's unfortunately a pretty weak subplot. there's no real proof to justify sara's belief that something happened to rebecca. sure, the abandoned storage unit is something to raise an eyebrow at - but is it enough to think a crime's been committed? not really. i also don't really understand why the journals were enough to make sara so interested in rebecca. they're a little spicy, yeah, but i wasn't exactly blown away by her words in the same way sara apparently was. more than the journals, sara really should've been more focused on ella running away and getting eloped with a strange man that sara's never even met. but nah, that storyline isn't really more than a passing thought for sara - even when she never hears from ella like promised. i feel like once sara realized no one was really worried about rebecca, she should've moved on (mostly) and focused on her actual friend who could be in actual trouble.

chris and mark:
of the two, i find mark wayyyy more interesting. the whole "damaged artist" thing that sara keeps INSISTING applies to chris is so melodramatic and ridiculous. her hero worship of him and all of the other artists she encounters at the gallery is gag worthy and super annoying.

WHAT!?!?!?! You CANNOT end a book like that :P ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... should have waited for the rest of them to be out, if only I realized ( )

First of all the ending of this was brutal, very brutal. Who ends a book like that??????? F*@%

This book starts with Sara who stumbles across a journal that she is “obsessed” with. When she attempts to find the owner of the journal she finds out she is missing. (Oh sh!t) she starts to work at the same gallery the writer of the journal worked at. Throughout the book she has no idea who she can trust and who she can’t trust. This book is a great mix of romance as well as a little mystery thrown into it.

I really don’t want to give too much away but this is a MUST read especially if you like romance or mystery. The characters are developed beautifully and the storyline is absolutely awesome. Go read it!!!!
