Em adores her funny, glamorous dad - who cares if he's not her real father? He's wonderful to her, and to her little brother Maxie and sister Vita. True to form at Christmas, Dad gives them fantastic presents, including a real emerald ring for his little Princess Em.Unfortunately he's got another surprise in store - he's leaving them. Will Dad's well-meaning but chaotic attempts to keep seeing Em and the other children help the family come to terms with this new crisis? Or would they be better off with a clean break - just like Em's arm? Kirjastojen kuvailuja ei löytynyt. |

- the meta nature of JW writing a book where the heroine is obsessed with JW, and the big Happy Thing that happens is going to a JW book signing.
- the rubbish dad is just such a caricature of a rubbish dad. Everything he does is ridiculously terrible - leaving them on Christmas day, abducting the children to the seaside without even a text to their mum who is expecting them home, etc etc. I think I could just about stomach this (it is a children's book, things are allowed to be a bit black and white) if it wasn't for the ending, where
