Joarr Enge never believed in the powers of the chalice he was tasked to guard--but he sure as hell wasn't going to let the captivating witch who'd robbed him escape. Now, a century after her betrayal, Joarr commandeered Amma's body and blocked her magic. She would spend every moment by his side until the chalice could be found. Amma had risked everything to uncover the secrets in her past--even the rage of her powerful and mysterious dragon lover. But as Joarr's passionate fire tempted her to dream of a future with him, could their magic unite two separate worlds for the most precious thing of all...their son?… (lisätietoja)

Joarr Enge is a dragon, he has been the guardian of a chalice for many years until it was stolen by Amma, a witch. She betrayed him and gave it to a dwarf, the Collector. He's been hunting her for a while and now he has her, and her body. The two of them have to try to find common ground and discover if a future is possible for the two of them.

It's not a bad read, there are moments were the worldbuilding wasn't possibly as solid as it could be but overall it was an enjoyable read that had me speeding through the last few chapters.

Enjoyable but light. With some slightly problematic worldbuilding ( )

In Devoti’s paranormal romance novel, Joarr Enge is a dragon-shifter in charge of protecting the chalice of his kind. But when he becomes entangled with Amma, a witch out to steal the chalice, he loses his focus and the chalice disappears. One hundred years later the opportunity presents itself to regain possession of the sacred chalice and he is willing to make whatever sacrifice he must to achieve it. Amma wants only to uncover the secrets of her past. For Amma and Joarr to achieve their goals, they must fight their blistering passion and work together. ( )
