Uri Savir was the Israeli negotiator at the secret Oslo talks with the PLO. He was Director General of the Israeli Foreign Ministry. In this book he gives the background to the difficult and secret meetings leading to the momentous occasion when peace was agreed with the PLO. A fascinating story told for the first time by the leading Israeli player. Kirjastojen kuvailuja ei löytynyt. |

The War in Eastern Europe - Wide ranging eastern front travels in 1914. Somewhat uneven, but there are brilliant passages and observations here. There a some ugly anti-Semitic passages but overall Reed again provides terrific descriptions of his moments in time. His treatment of Moscow, Petrograd, and Constantinople are especially strong. 4 stars.
Ten Days that Shook the World - Previously reviewed, does not stand up at all. Reed is swept up in the fury, perhaps too close to take it in - reads like he was in a hurry to beat a deadline, which of course he was. 1 star. ( )
