I have studied Mark for may years and have taught it for the past couple, and as such I am always interested in new approaches. I found this Graphic Novel version very intriguing, though not being a reader of graphic novels the genre is not very familar to me. Certainly it is striking, and clears seeks to get to grips with the text in a new way, and so is well worth a read. Whether it would be a good introduction to the Gospel of Mark (or to Jesu Christ) I am not sure, but perhaps for those who read graphic novels more than I do it would - perhaps some of the symbolism which was a bit lost on me might be more obvious to others.

In any case it is a bold and interesting book. (
