Loved it! It's I dystopian society meets the bachelor, rolled in to ya fiction. I was pleasantly surprised, thoroughly entertained, and I can't wait to start reading book two. ( )

Thoroughly enjoyed this read and it absolutely FLEW by. I loved that it wasn't rushed or urgent, as so many dystopias are these days. Instead, we got an abundance of character building with a pace that was absolutely perfect.

Can't wait to read book # 2!!! ( )

I will say for starters that I read this at the behest of my 13 year old daughter, who has been practically throwing this book at me for a year.

I zoomed through the audiobook at 2.75x speed. I didn't want to get sucked in, but I have to admit that I zoomed through the second book in the series as soon as I finished the first.

Did I truly enjoy this book? No.
I am glad I read it so I could talk to my daughter about what characters we loved/loathed.

There was a lot of eye-rolling from me, and I made sure to tell her each time I rolled my eyes.

She encouraged me to "trust the process." I'm waiting on the 3rd book to be delivered to my Libby so we can talk about how it all ends for Ilia.

This book has been on my radar for a while now, it had an eye catching cover and I got to read it for free on kindle unlimited and loved it! It was fun read, however i'm not fan of all the names but I am rooting for Maxon. I like the book that much that I have bought the rest of the collection to read. ( )
