This is a well re - searched, chronological description of the experience of a group of Chilean miners trapped in a copper mine for two months in 2010

I liked this book a lot as much as buried alive. this one went into a little more detail about how they stayed alive, what they did to keep their spirits up, the dangers and risks of being underground and in the dark for so long a little bit about the drilling. how different organizations around the world flocked to the site to help give supplies and expertise in how to rescue the men. what I really loved was the last chapter which talked about how he researched the book -- it was all so recent that he did not have a book to go off of so had to do all the research using internet, current sources, but he talked aobut how he had to really dig into his web searches, that the first few results just came up with the same crap over and over, and really by digging into those later results did he find new perspectives on the disaster. i.e. all the popular hits came up first, burying some interesting pieces. Aronson packs a lot of information into a concise, gripping chronicle of how the Chilean miners survived their ordeal and were rescued. An inspiring story of compassion, cooperation and heroism. Aronson also includes a great addendum explaining his research process. ( )

August 5, 2010: the earth shifts in Copiapo, Chile and 700,000 tons of rock collapse in the San Jose copper mine, trapping 33 miners 2,000 feet below the surface. Aronson tells the gripping true story of the miners in their tiny pitch dark shelter as the calls and emails went out around the world for help.
