This book takes the reader on a journey through all the colors the little mice see in their world. The text is presented as a rhyming poem, which can be read in a sing-song way to make it more appealing if needed. The gentle pastel illustrations are pretty and of course very colorful, if somewhat cluttered at times. This is definitely a good book for reinforcing the learning of colors, although some of the examples given are a bit of a stretch - for instance, "Purple as Easter eggs, marbles, and jellies/Purple as martins with purple bellies/Purple as coal and purple balloons/Purple as shadows of late afternoon." Still, all in all, this was a delightful book to share with the little ones in my class and they all seemed to enjoy it. ( )

Everything we see has colors. There is a blue bird and a blue sky. As you read this book and look at the beautiful illustrations you will find all the colors. This book is great to show a class when teaching colors. ( )
