Two quirky characters, Aunt Pete - a dear elderly lady is a disaster as cook, but knows how to love and counsel Serena; and Hazel - a woman who showed up at Serena's Bible Study wearing tatoos, clothes MUCH too revealing, rowdy children and dogs, but with a heart of gold. Hazel's quirkty but wise counsel also helps Serena walk through this life trauma.
