Time Zones is a great educational book for understanding time across the world and why it is the way it is. The book goes in dept on a developmentally appropriate approach the explaining time zones. The book talk about the earth rotations, latitude, longitude, equator, Prime Meridian and International Date Line. Not only does the book gives scientific and factual information but it also goes into the history of clocks and time zones. The book has cute illustrations and gives great information but the pages seem to be laden with wordy information. Time Zones would be a great book to read to a class for a geography lesson or to teach about time zones but it is not the most enthralling or capturing book. It would work better in older elementary classes then with younger ones. ( ) Plenty of information is given in this book. Plenty of facts about the history and science of time zones is given. It includes explanations and maps. Lessons can be taught from this book in a simple way. The book pretty much sums up every fact about time. At the end there is also a project included that you can do with students. ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
