Don't be afraid by Rebecca Drake takes place in Steerforth, Connecticut. I'm pretty sure the town is fictional but I never did get around to googling it.

The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare is set in Wethersfield, CT (a real town, with a real Blackbird Pond). One of the subplots, with the state charter, really happened and formed the basis for the state nickname of the Constitution State

The Stepford Wives takes place in the fictional town of Stepford, CT.

The Ice Storm takes place just next door to me in New Canaan, CT, and back when they filmed the movie I knew several extras.

Riding in Cars with Boys also takes place in CT, though I forget which town.

I feel like I must have read lots more books that take place in my home state, but most of the ones that come to mind are children's or young adult fiction (e.g., The Babysitter's Club, My Brother Sam is Dead).

I recently read Villages by John Updike that takes places in Connecticut. As well as Lost in Place which is a memoir of growing up in the state.
