******PEOPLE WHO READ ANY OF MY POSTS MAY WANNA KNOW THAT THERE IS A SPOILER WARNING PUT ON ANY MATERIAL IN HERE!!!!!!!*******

Ok, so I may have to skip some books because I don't remember I read them, but here's what I've got so far;

1) Protector of the Small: Squire by Tamora Pierce- I really enjoyed this book... out of the Protector of the Small quartet, it was my favourite because there was lots of action and a touch of romance!

2) Protector of the Small: First Test, Page, Squire and Lady Knight by Tamora Pierce- Even though I had already read the first three books, the fourth one in my school library had the other ones also (meaning they were all one huge book) so I decided to reread them all, just for the fun of it!

3)Black Beauty by Anna Sewell- I love horses, so obviously I was going to enjoy this book!

4) The Jungle Book- I don't remember who wrote it and I can't find it on LT, but I did read it.. It was good, but for my personality, it lacked action.

5)Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry by Mildred D. Taylor- I had to read this at school for a book project that had to be on democracy or whatever, but for my personality, this too lacked action.

7)Born Free by Joy Adamson- Nice animal story, true story, and it lacked a bit of the action i like but it was still good, something different.

8) Living Free: The story of Elsa and her cubs by Joy Adamson- The sequel to Born Free was nice and had a bit more cuteness in it with the arrival of the cubs and such.

9)A Curse Dark as gold by Elizabeth C. Bunce- I love fairytales, and this retelling of it was awesome!

10)The Bartimaeus Trilogy: The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud (French Version)- Nice book, lots of details and sometimes I got bored because there wasn't lots of action, but I liked it.

11) Les Mondes D'Ewilan: La Foret des Captifs by Pierre Bottero- This is a French series I really like, and the author didn't lack anything of his writing style in this book!

12)Arielle Queen: La Societe Secrete des Alters by Michel Levesque- Another French series.. I just discovered this one and really liked it! I think the girl in it sort of resembles me (lol).

13)Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling- Second read-through of this one and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time, maybe even more because I think that when you read a book a second time, you understand more than when you read it the first time!

14) The Girl's Book: How to be the Best at Everything by Juliana Foster- Couldn't find it on LT, but it's a funny book that gives you tips on doing handstands and tie-dye shirts and such!

15) 100 Thoughts Cats have About Humans by Celia Haddon- Extremely funny book with lots of nonsense thoughts that cats have about us... Hehehe, I really enjoyed it!

Thanks waterlily, i'll try and find that! And thanks for the welcome whisper.

Right now i just finished reading book #16:

The Pirate's Daughter by Margaret Cezair-Thompson.- It was a very romantic-type book... not necassarily the type for me, but it was something different that takes place in the 1950s and in Jamaica, a type of book I haven't read before.

18) The Ruby in the smoke by Philip Pullman- Good mystery and since I love the way Pullman writes, I like it!

Magyk was very good but i think the third book was the best. I loved the way every thing was set up for all of the books but the third book physyk was truly the best

19)Une Rentree en Cle de Sol by Anne-Marie Fournier- This is a french book, so i'm no surprise the computer doesn't find it..... Pretty easy to read, but it talked about a mystery that had to do with a band and music, so i guess it was alright.

20) Patrick L'internaute- I have no idea who's it's written by. It's a very boring book. I hated it, but we had to read it for french. It's about this little boy who wants to get a computer, OOOOO, interesting eh?

21) Bambi by Felix Salten- This was a very good book. I was expecting it to be a bit more like the movie, but the ending especially is sooo different. Oh well, I guess they adapted the movie. I loved it though, it was really deep...

Ok, so it's October and I'm only on book #21 but I think this will be my challenge for next year. This year I wasn't able to post all of my books since I couldn't remember the ones I read since the beginning of the year, so I guess I'll do this for next year too or something.....

22) Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke- I thought this was an amazing book. I've always liked Cornelia's writing style and this was a great conclusion to the Inkheart trilogy.

Thanx Trish!

23) Twilight by Stephenie Meyer-Ok, so everyone had been talking about this and all, and I thought "Oh, this can't possibly be that exciting. But boy was I wrong. Twilight was awesome! I really loved the chemistry between Bella and Edward and can't wait to see it one the big screen.

Hey there. I too liked Bambi and found it surprising. It's in storage now, but I'll read it again some day. I also enjoyed Pullman's mystery. Not bad. I'll be back :)

24)The Fellowship of the Ring by JRR Tolkien-Ok, so I was reading this book for like over a month, which for me is my record, cuz I'll usually read books in 3 weeks max. But anyways, I thought it was alright, but it goes on and on and seems to never end. I thought the plot was pretty original, but I thought there was a little too much detail, if such a thing is possible.

Yeah i understand. I remember when we met the Ents thinking, 'will this ever end?' Good for you for finishing! err, that of course was in The Two Towers, but same idea...

>24 picolina:, there is a huge section in the middle that stretches out a fairly uneventful journey through the mountains over several pages... I loved this book when I read it as a teenager, but re-reading recently I found myself thinking it was, um, rather slow....

And now I shall be cast out into the utter darkness, at least from my family's perspective :-) for daring to speak ill of Tolkien.

LOL I thought it was slow when a teen/pre-teen but think I might actually support it better now ... but then again ;->

I guess it all depends on your perspective of "slow." If you're one to love detail, then I guess you could enjoy Tolkien but as for me.....

Ok, so I finished another book (yay me!!!)

25) Guardians of Ga'Hoole:The War of the Ember by Kathryn Lasky- I've followed her series ever since I discovered it last year and I really really loved it. It might be a bit childish (with the fighting owls and all) but hey, I'm pretty childish too so why not? The only thing is that I thought it was too short (meaning I thought the ending came way too fast!!!) but maybe it's just me....

Sounds like a great recommendation to me

No! Truly, it was very good. I've always loved that series, except, well, I don't know if you've ever had this feeling, but over the past few months, I've been reading like thick books. Ex: Twilight saga, Fellowship of the ring, Inkdeath, Fire Star, Ice Fire, and I just finished New Moon. If you consider a 600 page book to a small 150 page one, well, you will get disappointed by how small the small one is. But trust me, the series is great. Also, when I was reading the other books, it was like non-stop right? I'd finish one in 2 or 3 days and go right on to the next one right away. For this one, I had to wait like a couple of months before reading it. Then again, like I said, I loved the plot, but it is sorta childish with fighting and talking owls so if the specific person doesn't have that big of a tolerance for that stuff (like my dad) they're not gonna like it. But it was really good, trust me.

Ok, I'm back from supper. Now where was I.....

26) The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton-We read this for a novel study in class. At first I thought I wouldn't like it, but it was very good. A story about how guys in New York don't get along because of looks and poverty. Very deep plot written by a teen.

27) New Moon by Stephenie Meyer- Once again, excellent book. It got thrown at the wall for obvious reasons, but it's awesome. I was really angry that Edward left and that Edward and Jacob couldn't just get along, but oh well, at the end I was also happy that Bella got her wish.....sorta.

And a couple from the previous month that I forgot to put:

28) Icefire by Chris D'Lacey- The plot may be sorta childish to some of you, but the story is really good. The fact that David gets so deeply involved in the dragons is to me very touching and I loved it!

29) Fire Star by Chris D'Lacey- Again, very nice and more emotional...a bit less childish than the last one. I was sad when David died but happy when we learn that Zanna's pregnant.

Thanks for sharing you felt when you read -- that's just as impt as what one thinks, but sometimes harder to say.
