Interracial relationship + fantasy book

Umm the subject is a bit weird cuz it’s two books

1. So I believe the girl is Japanese? But from what I can remember her mother was rly strict with her when she was growing and (maybe) she ran away? And ended up in this circus place where the crew took her in and she felt loved yadayada but idk what happened in between BUT she’s needed for this ball or party so she dresses up and goes there and meets this (black) royal/noble guy and they fall in love. Problem is he’s from another country and has to return and because she has no one here who loves her she goes with him.

2. I barely remember so I wouldn’t be surprised if no one found it. It’s about this girl who dreams of this forest like place and she ends up there? She meets this magical fay who guides her thru missions and stuff. Idk :/ but the ending elucidates a gay relationship between the girl and the fay 🤷‍♀️
