The missing page is here: https://www.librarything.com/author/rousseaulouispaul
From the looks of it, someone decided to change the primary author of that work from Henri to Louis Paul and in the process got things a big tangled... Let me see if I can figure out to untangle.

The original problem is Amazon. I have sent a correction to Amazon.com, but you might want to send one to the French Amazon.
No idea why the corrected author in Other authors isn't working.

Cleared up the manual change and got Jean-Paul as a second author. If you look at https://www.librarything.com/work/28962717/editions, the other 2 copies have Henri as the author - which is why he pops up as the work author.
What did you do with the Other Authors field exactly? Because I think something in that process got the thing tangled (basically work vs book author name confusion). There may be a bug somewhere with the primary author overwriting (would be my guess) but I've done a few like that without that side effect so.. what steps did you do in the Other Authors field?

PS: Got it to work properly:
1. Change the calculated author to a confirmed one and change to the correct one.
2. Clean up the rest.
All is connected now properly. So... back to >4 AnnieMod: - what steps did you follow earlier? Maybe a language-site related issue?

>3 MarthaJeanne: Ah, the Amazon mix up that explains how all other copies have the wrong author then.

>3 MarthaJeanne:
First the general framework: I was in the process of creating the disambiguation note for Henri Rousseau and I took the opportunity to assign the works to the namesakes.
I arrived on a book (Le Cerisier) whose first name of the author was wrong.
SO
1: I have changed the name in the book file, author fields from Henri Rousseau to Louis-Paul (this last is true author)
Update,
The work still appearing in Henri Rousseau_1 and _2 despite updating
SO
2: I created the book from the BNF and not amazon in my library .com/ So I had the right author and this book had 3 owner members (with me).
Update,
However, no change... hence my post.
In any case, if I understood correctly, the data depends on Amazon? and if Amazon is wrong, we can not correct ? This is it ?
nb: I only use very very rarely - and temporarily - merchant databases to catalog a work and/or provide data (except for new releases when they have not yet been created)
anyway thank you

It is worth getting Amazon to correct their data so that the next people to enter the book get the correct author, outvoting the wrong one.
Anybody can correct the data in their own entry. It is not that we cannot correct bad Amazon data, but that each member's data stays the way that member wants it.

>10 JMK2020: That's not something solvable at the moment.
The way author names work in LT and the way some of the sources and users record names means that the two authors will end up on the same page in LT. So the only thing we can do is to split the author and add canonical name to the split portion (and alias if they have a different page)

I have logged into ru.librarything and erased the name, but I cannot erase the date of birth. That seems to be a bug.
