Do you think Irving is on Bosch’s side? Should he have followed Irving’s advice and left town for a couple of weeks?
2Olivermagnus
I think he tries to be on Bosch's side but Harry isn't in the mood to listen. I think he should follow the advice to get out of town for awhile but he's not going to.

I addressed this a couple of questions back. Irving is definitely on Bosch’s side. But why?
Is he urging Harry to take a holiday for the good of his mental wellbeing? Or is he actually trying to get Harry to drop his investigation?

His support of Harry is not in the best interest of the force and is misplaced.

I think he wants Harry to go on vacation and hope that things calm down by time he gets home.

Bosch should have followed his advice and taken the time to look at the way he was acting and make such much needed changes before it was too late. Lucky to still have a job. Still trying to work out why Irving is on Harry’s side.

As I mentioned in a prior answer, I think Irving is trying to assuage some guilt from knowing Marjorie and being aware the case was brushed under the carpet. I think he is trying to get Bosch out of the way so everyone can cool off and he can get Bosch back on the force.
I do not think Irving is in cahoots with Mittel…and I hope I’m not wrong! 🫣

>7 Andrew-theQM: Agree - Irving has given Bosch every opportunity to calm down, get a handle on things, even having Hinojos there to help him through his emotional issues. And yet, Bosch is doing nothing to help himself.
