Many of you may remember Joe Whitlock Blundell who was the Production Director for Folio Society until he retired about five years ago, and was largely responsible for Folio moving into the area of publishing Limited Editions.
I have just received an email outlining a facsimile of a 1765 map of the county of Kent that he is publishing via Addison Publications. If anyone is interested, the link below has more information

Just passing this information on - I have no commercial interest in this.

Fascinating, but yes, a bit steep for me, too.
I do miss the days when he did limited editions for FS. I have lots of those and they're fantastic quality and great choices.

>2 wcarter: and that’s the pre-publication price! It goes up to £2500 in a few weeks.

Having recently aquired the leaves of Willem de Brailles i feel the Folio have not been as interesting to own since he left. Although the end paper designs is a welcome addition.

This image of the Kent Map in an email from Addison Publications - the Folios in the background reminds me of the Eagle Street shop, but it can't be, can it?

With photoshop and AI, anything's possible.
But, could it perhaps be Joe's own collection of Folios? I imagine he's got a pretty good selection. We were once treated to a very, very nice shelfie of his LEs. Second only to the wcarter memorial infinity library ;-)

That's a good answer, Dr, Carter, thank you. Now I see, the table where the map is displayed, looks like the spot where the stacks of books for the new release teasers are made. Which leads me to ask: Have you been there? Had the tour? Mrs Omni-Channel show you around the new place!?

I did try to invite myself by email last time I was in London, but was politely turned down, so have not visited. I have just seen lots of photos of their office.

That thought did cross my mind but the similarities with the dMR were so striking, I dismissed it. I did see the photo of JWB's bespoke LE cabinet. Lovely. I want one.
And here it is again:

Anyone know what are the three white volumes near the centre of the bottom shelf?
They do not appear to be FS books.

>14 wcarter: I can read Dante Inferno but don’t recognise them.
I do recognise some Fleece Press and a Wood Lea press book, so there are some non-FS on the shelves

>14 wcarter: I can read Dante Inferno on all three spines, and dots to indicate vols 1, 2, and 3, but can't make sense of the rest of it. No publishing house on the spine.

The Dante is by Talfourd Press, published by Tom Phillips, i believe.

>12 bookfair_e: So that's why he left FS, he had no more space on his shelf.
