In the Add/edit series box

there are options to Search, list select series by the same author, and list recently added series.
Often when I'm working through works in a series I'm repeatedly searching for the same series, or picking it out of a long list by the same author. Recently Added Series I rarely find useful.
What would be useful would be a fourth tab: a list of the 5 series that I had most recently used, or even just the most recently used one. 9 times out of 10 the most recently used one would be the one I wanted. This could be saved per-user in the profile somewhere, or in a cookie so it's per browser. It would save me a lot of time.

>2 alexa_d: Depends on your workflow.
When I am collecting all issues of a magazine in a series for example, I will have them all open on their work pages (often so I can do all needed combinations and any other CK updates they need (languages, original publication dates, other authors and so on). If I need to search again from the series page, it will take considerably longer than just using the already open work page.
If anything, if the titles use mostly common names, working from the series page is a nightmare.

I use the workbench when I'm adding a bunch of works to a series; everything added to the workbench shows in the popup when you're adding on the series page.

>4 amanda4242: Useful knowledge.
I have always just copied the series name and pasted it in for each addition.

>4 amanda4242: Yeah, that also works but I am still much more likely to just do all I need from a work page :) Plus allowing to see the last few used series won't stop people from using the workbench if they want to.

>6 AnnieMod: Whatever works. A lot of people don't know how many things the workbench can do so I thought I'd bring it up.

I would use this. I find that I often begin things by opening a string of works in new browser tabs, from the site search results, so that I can do any combining and/or CK, etc., then do the series add as the last thing before closing that tab, it's a mite more efficient (for me) to work that way around. I don't think >1 r.orrison: would save me time (since I now am in the habit of copying the series name, to be able to repeatedly paste in each time I search), but certainly would be convenient.
An even better thing in this area could be a way to tell the site to stick on this tab (a cookie? or a checkbox "remember this tab"?) in the Series and Relationships section. Then when doing a series-adding task that requires, say, the Recently Added Series tab (eg. you've created the series and it's not yet in site search) this would save a click every time. Ditto if a new fourth tab was added and you want to use it over and over; ditto if doing Relationships adding and it would save having every time to switch into that section.
