How do you show 2 covers in the covers` gallery of a book?

Hello, I occasionally see books with more than one cover, uploaded by multiple users.
However, my case is different.. I try to upload both front and back cover of a book/video, for information included in the back cover, or when the back cover offers main cover`s translation.
When I try uploading one cover after another, the first one gets deleted.
What I want is:
- Uploading two covers to the covers` gallery, while only the front cover being visible as book cover in book`s page.

Covers that nobody is using are deleted.

One way you could save both is to enter two copies and use one cover on one, and the other cover on the other. And the back covers are likely to be flagged.

Or upload the back cover into your junk drawer and put the link in your entry.

You could try combining the two covers into a single image, but I don't know that it would be very legible.

>1 cairoartsjp: There is a way, but I am possibly forbidden to suggest it. I have certain books that I have read anywhere from 3-7 times. Sometimes, I even own that book with separate covers.

If you enter the book, more than one time into your library, you can use the back cover on your second work. However, someone will most likely flag it as not belonging to that particular work- cause they might not understand that it is a back cover.

>4 EGBERTINA: I have a way.. if I upload the back cover then the front cover, and without clicking "choose this cover", the front cover shall be the main cover, while both covers exist in covers` gallery.
The problem is with books I already uploaded their main covers.. as I shall have to re-upload both covers again. LT should allow me keeping both covers when I click "choose this cover".

Let`s take this one as an example
https://www.librarything.com/work/29395656/covers/230086297
Both covers exist, because I didn`t click "choose this cover". But the mainly shown cover is the back cover. I should upload both covers again, starting with the back cover.. this shall require much effort for multiple books and videos.

I`m a professional librarian in an academic library, and LT isn`t the only system I use.. I use alternatives for other libraries, these alternatives allow both covers with no problems.
This is why I put this discussion here under "Recommended site improvements", hoping that LT shall fix it. LT may has its reasons denying this suggestion, I`ll respect its policy, but it isn`t suitable for professional users even for their basic needs.

>2 MarthaJeanne: back covers are likely to be flagged
That doesn't matter for anyone's own personal use, though. It won't remove the cover from the system or from your book.

I thought there was discussion on doing more than just the front cover at one time. Tim was talking about covers and flaps and all the minutiae but I can't remember what happened or where the thread might be hidden.

There's an old discussion here:

And a bit on the information found on flaps, back covers, etc

And a bit (also old) on the Frequently Asked Questions group:

There's also an old discussion on how to scan fancy covers:
