Dates of added books have disappeared

Hi, any reason why the exact date of added books has disappeared? It used to show Dec. 31, or Nov. 11, as to when a book was added (for relatively recent added books). Now it's just showing the month. Please go back to the exact date books were added.

I just checked a few books I had added lately:

Entry date 2022-12-27
Entry date 2023-01-03

So... where are you seeing only a month, in which field is it exactly and can you share an example of a book with this malady from your library.

I have this as well ... on my Home page.

I see this on the home page for books entered last year if covers are shown. If I switch to text I get the full date. The one book I have entered this year says Jan 1 under the covers, but earlier books say Dec 2022. I really wish all the dates would show as 2022-12-13.

Yes, that is so. It used to give day as well as month--now it's only month.

So, I think it's simply that it displays the data more generally as it goes farther back in time. But I'll check it.

The problem is that when it's this year it need only say "Jan 23" but if it's last year it needs to say "Jan 23, 2022" to do what you want. There isn't always enough space for that, as you can see in this screenshot when I turned that feature off:



I'm going to get with conceptDawg about this tomorrow, to see if there's another good solution.

So I guess once one year is over, it starts anew. That's understandable. I'll check tomorrow to see if it gives me Jan. 4 for the one book that was added this year (right now it just says "yesterday").

The entry date for a particular book can be seen, with a full date, in the Book Details tab.

Suggestion: Add the full date to the pop-up that appears when the cursor is over a cover image in the recently-added module on the home page. It will fit gracefully under the cover image on the left of the pop-up, particularly if it uses the same smaller sized text as the "members" and "reviews" counts.

Easy to see with no clicks.
