Hope it's alright I'm cross posting from The Green Dragon! Had a few good recs there, but I'm definitely open to more!
I'm looking for a fun, light-hearted fantasy read. Preferably a shorter one and bonus points for anything on Kindle Unlimited.
I enjoy a good romance (though it's not needed!) and bonus points for LGBT+ romance. NO love triangles. No enemies to lovers. No war or heavy political intrigue.
Something along the lines of Legends and Lattes would be great!

A Spindle Splintered and A Mirror Mended are pretty fun reads.

Anything by the late, great Terry Pratchett should fit. (i.e., the Discworld series)

Maybe not. There are definitely heavier issues in some of the Discworld books despite them being humorous fiction.

If you can find it, Bridge of Birds is both funny and moving. Really good.

I'm very late but if you haven't read T. Kingfisher you should give her a try. Swordheart and the Paladin's series will be close fits.

>1 ArtemisLiCa: The House in the Cerulean Sea would hit a lot of those boxes.

I enjoyed High Times in the Low Parliament recently. And yes to T. Kingfisher.

I enjoyed the heck out of In other lands by Sara Rees Brennan. A modern teenager goes on a school trip and ends up crossing into a land where magic works. He ends up hanging out with a couple of other teenagers and fantasy-stuff ensues. There are some traditional sorts of things from fantasy novels: a prominent warrior family, treaty negotiations, elves, and dwarves -- but also harpies and mermaids. Very fun, well it was fun for me and a couple of friends. Worth investigating.

Tailchaser's Song by Tad Williams is a fun one.

Definitely T Kingfisher. I'd also recommend Victoria Goddard -- Stargazy Pie would probably work best as the request was for "short".

I would also recommend both T. Kingfisher (Swordheart, Paladin series, and the Clockwork Boys) and Victoria Goddard. You might also check out Gail Carriger/G. L. Carriger - The San Andreas shifters in particular might work for you.
