set up a completely separate library's

How do I set up a completely separate library for maps only?
I can scan in my maps to the main library of books, then transfer to a map library but if I remove from main library it also removes from map library.

I use 'Collections' to list my maps separately from my books. If you want more distance between them you could always open another account just for the maps - it doesn't cost anything.

Just be aware that if you open another account as suggested in >2 abbottthomas:, there isn't really a way to transfer items from one account to another.

Can you explain how you keep them separate? When I scan the barcode the item shows up on both and if I remove from my book collection the map listing also is deleted.

>4 Onisenson: When you try to take it out of the library collection, are you hitting the red x or using the drop down?

If you are hitting the red x, you are deleting the record and all mentions of it. This is why it would take it out of both the Map collection and Your Books.
If you just use the collection drop down (which looks like a brown box with an arrow in it) and remove the highlight off the Your Library collection but make sure it stays on the Maps collection, you'll move it without deleting it.

It looks like you've already done the first step, which is to create a Maps collection. To get items into this collection, you want to use the "Set Collections" option. In library view, this button looks sort of like a cardboard box with a sideways triangle on it.

If you want the maps to only be in this collection, be sure to select the Maps collection and deselect Your Library.

What you don't want to do is click on the red X that has "remove this book from your library" as the hover text. That will remove the book entirely from all collections in your account.

When scanning books in my library, I have the same problems. For me, the main thing is that this doesn't lead to the complete removal of the book. Moreover, some of them I use to prepare my work https://www.aresearchguide.com/1steps.html This source also helps out in this and the step-by-step instructions make the process easier.
