This Los Angeles Times story mentions that Library of America will be publishing another Mailer volume next January: "The Naked and the Dead and Selected Letters 1945-46"

Meant to add that when LOA's Mailer 1960s volumes came out, I wrote and asked if they had any plans to do a prequel volume, covering The Naked and the Dead through Advertisements For Myself... iirc they said they didn't have anything in the works at the time. A 1950s volume including The Barbary Coast, The Deer Park, Advertisements For Myself, and perhaps an assortment of Mailer's Village Voice writings (some of which may be in Advertisements... it's been about 30 years since I read it) and other pieces would be an automatic buy for me. But I wonder if the controversial aspects of his work from this period would scotch it, as per the Random House volume that's now been shelved.
