Agatha Christie

I am looking for an affordable, but beautiful and well made set of the works of Agatha Christie; any suggestions?

Hi Frank. Sorry to see you didn’t get a response. Maybe the folio devotees group helped? I collect Agatha Christie’s novels and doing my research settled on the cheaper 85 volume small hardbacks published by Planet Three as part of a magazine and book deal that was issued in news agents and convenience stores back the early 2000 in the UK. Each title came with a accompanying magazine and all magazines. You can grab a couple of single volumes with the magazine on eBay right now for a couple of pounds. I paid around £150 for a complete set of 85 including two volume autobiography. They prices do vary from £100 to £400 but you can buy a partial set and add the single titles as you go around.

They mostly do the deal. They are acidic paper and will brown but some have kept the charm are are in good condition if kept out of sunlight.

I did get some responses in another group, but as luck would have it I did find a set, 39 volumes (from HCBooks OnLine), each with two novels, published by Heron books in the mid 1970's, in faux red leather with several illustrations in each. Yours do look nice though.
