Books like the "fallen blade" series?

hi. I've recently finished this wonderful series. Basically, it's about an assassin and his shadow companion, also known as "shade". They come from a religious order and now that the Godess had fallen they want to rebuild the order. The two of them have to fight a "boss" in every book.
Are there any similar books like this?
NOTE: People already recommended the series by Robin Hobb, but I don't really like these.

One of the brackets gets you a title touchstone, 2 give you an author one , 3 give you series (new capability since the new series launch). :) The example on the right kinda tries to show it I think but the series is also a single book so I guess it is not very clear.

Back on topic - what didn't you like in Hobb? This was my first thought as well and if they did not work, knowing what did not work for you will help figuring out what else may work.

I didn't like the beginning of the Farseer series by Hobb. It unfortunately took too long for me to get into the world and the characters.
I might try the Riyria series. Read the first two books in German and didn't like them, but maybe if I read them in English i will think otherwise...

So you need a series that does not linger on the setup for too long and directly goes into the action. Hm... let me think. I tend to gravitate in the other direction - but I am sure I had read a few that just start with the action :)

The thing is that the Farseer took too long to take off. The youth of this guy was a bit too detailed in my opinion.

Maybe The Witcher series? Haven't tried the graphic novels, but the original books are good, and are certainly loaded with action. I would have recommended Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn by Tad Williams, but it takes about 300 pages in the first book to really get going.
